Strategy and Transactions, Summer Associate

EY-Parthenon is the strategy consulting arm of EY. They have 3 main verticals: private equity, strategy, and transactions.
During my summer internship, I was working on a major transaction. I believe it was the biggest transaction of 2023 (a spin-off of all the consumer health business from a large medical device company). At the very least, I know it was Parthenon's biggest contract at the time.
I worked on the One Time Costs team. I learned a lot about the space, got to travel to both our NYC and Chicago offices, met a lot of higher ups and interesting people, and experienced what American corporate life is like.
Oh yes, and I also got well acquainted with Excel and PowerBI!

Strategy Consulting Summer Associate

During my time in Tel Aviv and Birthright Excel, I interned at Deloitte Catalyst.
This was my first real taste of consulting. One thing that was different, the Israeli work culture. I absolutely loved it.
Israelis are hard-working, to the point, and occasionally brutal. But if you earn their trust, they treat you like family.

I got to go to USC after earning a half tuition scholarship...much needed since they are consistently in the top 5 of undergrad tuition in the US.
USC is a fun school and LA is a great city. I learned a lot about myself, the world, and set myself up well (in my opinion).
A few highlights:

• I met so many engineers that break the stereotypes of lacking social skills.

• I landed my spot for Birthright Excel and had a life-changing summer in Tel Aviv. Also met the coolest, craziest, and most inspiring group of friends as we were all crammed into one hostel.

• I studied abroad in Singapore at NUS. Can you believe I got all B+s in my full engineering course load? Yeah me neither. I met friends from around the world and we travelled to 7 countries in Asia while there.

• Engineering courseload challenged me endlessly. I conquered that, so no reason to believe I can't conquer anything else you put in front of me.

• I met my best friend, Isabella Livits.
